To predict likehood "overheating" can be caused several things
- Fan cooling for the CPU jammed,damaged
- Fan speed decreased below 20% of speed before really damaged
- Fan speed which decreased slowly and reached 50% below the previous standard
- Friction between heatsink with CPU plate cooler and the heatsink not stick to processcor perfectly
- Conducting over voltage, but cooling system (in this case,fan) does not support.
- Using heatsink above the standard, that is, it would heatsink the larger size. When a day fan processor's is broken, at least with a large heatsink can still maintain the temperature processor in the middle tollerance limit.When the fan is broken, then the large heatsink will spread the heat, and heat entire charger will be easy identified from outside by touch the charger which does not have normal hot air exit from charger and fan.
- Make backup fan on the processor.With double fan, the processor will work better and the temperature of processor could pressed as minimal as can.
- Make some settings in the BIOS to detect temperature exceeds the standard. Activate temperature warning and set to the lowest possible. Generally, processor operated normal with the maximum temperature 45deg C. the malfuntion happen in range 50-90. Will work good at 28-45 depend on the technology used.By activate "Warning temperature" at BIOS, so when "overheating" hardware system monitoring will provide warning sound trough computer speaker.Setting 'temperature warning" can also setting in processor manufacture software's.
